17th Annual Irish Festival, NJ on Saturday June 5th
The Ancient Order of Hibernians, Rev. William J. Clifford Division One of Ocean County, is holding its 16th Annual Irish Festival at Veterans Park in Berkeley Township (Garden State Parkway Exit 77) on Saturday June 6th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. As is the custom, Msgr. Sean Flynn, Pastor of St. Marks Church in Manasquan, will celebrate a Mass in Gaelic at 9:00 am at the main pavilion.
The festival is a great way to promote Irish culture with traditional music singing and dancing. There will be dance bands, bagpipe bands, and Irish step dancers to entertain. In addition, there will be over sixty Irish gift and craft vendors, a food and beer court. It will be a great day for family fun, and best of all, the admission is FREE.
Each year the festival draws several thousand visitors and we believe it is a news worthy community event. We would be grateful for any notice of the festival and would appreciate having a reporter and photographer cover the festival.
