Draw your best leprechaun this St. Patrick’s Day!
Irish heritage runs deep among the staff members of the Dawson News & Advertiser and, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day coming up next month, the newspaper is presenting the “Draw Your Best Leprechaun” contest.
The contest is open to children age 14 and under. While all entries will be published in the St. Patrick’s Day edition of the Advertiser on Wednesday, March 17, and displayed at the newspaper office, the lucky winner will receive front-page recognition and a gift certificate for some fun shopping at Lollipop Toy Store in Dawsonville.
Artists are encouraged to be creative and work may be produced using any medium (pencil, crayon, paint, etc.). Submissions should include the artist’s name as well as a phone number where he or she (or their parents) can be reached.
Artwork may be dropped off at the newspaper office at 40 Highway 9 North in downtown Dawsonville; mailed to P.O. Box 225, Dawsonville, GA 30534; or e-mailed to Editor Kristen Mangum at kmangum@dawsonadvertiser.com.
